As the creator of Emotional Integrative Therapy (EIT), Dr. Filion is actively advancing her research and plans to launch a formal clinical trial within the next twelve months to further validate this innovative methodology.

Following her own recovery journey, Sheri trained as a front-line professional in rehabilitation and occupational therapy, earning her healthcare undergraduate degree with high honors from Athabasca University.

For the past nine years, she has specialized in children and families social work, with a focus on empowering families experiencing domestic abuse. Recognizing the limitations of traditional social work interventions in addressing root causes, Lydia is collaborating with Dr. Marie Fillion to incorporate psychological approaches that empower families to facilitate meaningful change. The Emotional Integrative Course has been personally transformative while enhancing her understanding of psychological responses in service users, and she believes it will help shift from a blame-oriented culture to a more supportive approach for families.
